Outsourced Back Office
Outsourced back office is the delivery of core business operations (finance, HR, compliance, payroll, and administrative functions) by an external firm rather than an in-house team.
Outsourced back office is the delivery of core business operations (finance, HR, compliance, payroll, and administrative functions) by an external firm rather than an in-house team. Companies use it when they need institutional-grade operational infrastructure but cannot justify or afford full-time hires across every function. It is most common at Series A through growth stage, during PE post-acquisition integration, and in regulated industries where compliance expertise is required from day one.
